Lighting has the power to tell a story, to deepen emotions, and to enhance every beat of a performance—and that’s what draws me to this art. I discovered my passion for lighting through the realization that light can transform a simple stage into a vibrant, immersive world, guiding the audience through every nuance of a story. I aim to keep refining my craft, always striving to create moments that resonate deeply with those watching.
One of my biggest ambitions is to work on the West End, contributing to productions that captivate audiences night after night. I’m especially focused on improving my skills in stage lighting dynamics and creating more impactful lighting effects that enhance each scene’s story and mood. To build these skills, I’m constantly expanding my knowledge of lighting software and techniques, working to bring more technical depth to my designs.
I’m also inspired by the collaborative nature of lighting design. Working alongside other lighting designers and technicians, I hope to exchange ideas and techniques, learning from each person’s unique perspective and expertise. I believe there’s something valuable to learn from everyone, and I want to collect and share that knowledge, creating a richer, more creative environment for all involved.
Long-term, I would love to mentor aspiring lighting technicians, helping them find their passion and guiding them through the early stages of their journey. Sharing what I’ve learned—and continue to learn—would be an incredibly rewarding part of my career. Lighting design is a constant evolution, and I’m excited to be a part of it, both as a learner and a mentor.
